Britain's Queen Elizabeth II dies at the age of 96
Buckingham Palace announced the death of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96, at Balmoral Palace in Scotland.
He said in the statement that the Queen left Balmoral Castle this afternoon in good health, and the King and Queen of Britain remain in Balmoral tonight and return to London tomorrow morning.
Buckingham Palace doctors had earlier expressed their "concern over the health of Her Majesty", after he announced yesterday, Wednesday, the cancellation of a virtual meeting with ministers, following the doctors' recommendation to the Queen to rest.
Charles succeeds Elizabeth II, Queen of Britain.
